My Kids Say the Darndest Things

As I was doing Charlotte's hair today, Elijah wanted his hair done too. He kept saying "ponytail, ponytail." I did his hair but in a faux-hawk. He continued saying, "ponytail, ponytail." So I told him "I did your hair. You got a faux-hawk." He continued requesting ponytails, and Charlotte then said, "Boys don't get ponytails, they get faux-hawks."

I was dressing Caleb into a two piece outfit, of which both pieces had a giraffe on them. Charlotte asked, "Why does he have 2 giraffes?" And I responded, "Because they go together." To which she responded, "Is it a puzzle?"

Last week we were going to go apple picking, but there was a threat of rain. As we were discussing this with Charlotte we said, "If it does rain, we'll have to come up with another plan." And Charlotte then piped up, "We'll bring umbrellas!"
