My Kids Say the Darndest Things

Charlotte: Daddy, do you know what a fist bump is?
And even before Greg has the chance to answer (and let's not forget he was the one to teach her what a fist bump was in the first place) she says:
"It's with your elbow!"

At my grandparents house it seems as if Charlotte and Elijah are always hungry. Charlotte was complaining of hunger and we were offering her a number of healthy options, to which she said no to all of them and then she said, "My stomach is calling for sweets."

And this quote, which is completely inappropriate, but I still find it completely hilarious comes from Elijah. Once again at my grandparents house the kids were hungry (no surprise there) and I opened the fridge to offer them some things to eat. Elijah points to the bananas in the fruit drawer and says "penis!" (As a side note, Elijah completely knows what a banana is and it was probably one of his first food words.) So, I pull out a banana for him, and say, "You mean a banana," and he then responds, "penis," once again. Boy, oh boy!

Oh, and Charlotte said "Butthead" today. Where did that come from?!?
